This lecture by William Haenszel was presented at the Oncology Symposium at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Haenszel, who believes that the current research into the ideology of large bowel cancer is lacking because most studies have only been conducted in the high-risk populations of North America and western Europe, presents new findings based on information assembled from international comparisons, time trends, and migrant populations on the precursor lesions of polyps. The lecture is illustrated by a lengthy series of slides presenting this data.
