Anderson, Otis L.
Fogarty, John Edward, 1913-1967
United States. Public Health Service. Office of the Surgeon General
Anderson, Assistant U.S. Surgeon General, responded to a query sent to Fogarty by a constituent who complained that the U.S. was exporting polio vaccine even though there was a shortage here at home. This correspondence shows some of the difficulties involved in producing and distributing polio vaccine nationwide during the first few years it was available.
