Abstract:: The effects of advanced leprosy on the face are presented, along with the surgeries and reconstructive techniques that can repair some of the damage. Dr. Paul Brand is shown operating on patients, describing each step of the surgery. The video also includes footage of an operation on a patient with a paralyzed thumb resulting from leprosy.
