- In this color illustrated postcard, a nurse informs a suprised father that his wife has given birth to four girls. The nurse and man are in an ornate parlor, with green carpet, dark wallpaper with gold fleur de lis, and maroon draperies with gold designs. The nurse is standing, looking down at the man who is on his knees on a pillow on the floor. The nurse is wearing a black skirt and shoes, a light color blouse, white apron and cap. Her right hand is behind her back, and she is holding up four fingers on her left hand. The man is wearing a dark brown suit and white shirt. He looks at the nurse in surprise while clasping his head.
