Color illustration featuring a battlefield scene from Nov. 1, 1943 near Kerch. The soldiers are under heavy fire. Galina Petrovna is shown running through a minefield towards the rows of barbed wire and encouraging the soldiers to follow her to advance further in the territory. She was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union on November 17, 1943.
