From March 18 to June 23, 1925, Dr. Sawyer traveled to Colombia to inspect the hookworm and malaria control programs there and visit local health departments. The caption on the back of the photograph reads, "Side street in Ibague, Department of Tolima. Note tuft of vegetation on electric light wire on right. Apr. 27, 1925."
