Binding Note:
Binding: Original parchment covers, covered by parchment wallet binding with metal clasp on lower cover and catch on upper; catch has been repositioned closer to fore-edge, possibly to compensate for shrinkage of parchment. Repaired in 1940s by Library's Cleveland binding studio. When repaired, it was discovered that the two incunabula were first sewn, and then resewn when the manuscript was bound with them; originally sewn to pieces of brass. On wallet binding foreedge in gothic lettering: Antho. guayne; on wallet binding spine, leather label: Guaynerius. Practica et de febribus. Sine ulla nota.
