In this photograph a sanitary inspector in Mexico is looking for larvae of the Aedes aegypti mosquito, the urban vector of yellow fever.. The Pan American Sanitary Bureau, World Health Organization, and other international health agencies assisted the governments of the western hemisphere in the eradication of malaria and Aedes aegypti.
