Poster for exhibition held in conjunction with the trans-NIH James B. Herrick Symposium (November 16-17, 2010). Light brown poster with background of sickle cells taken from glass plate negatives used in Herrick's published description of the disease. Photographs of Herrick and his intern, Ernest E. Irons, are respectively at the top and bottom of the poster. Running across the bottom are the logos of the seven ICs which organized the event.
