Preparation of tissue for microscopic examination: Many lines of experimental attack depend on such examination. The tissues are stained, covered with transparent cement, and a very thin slip of glass is laid over all. It is a ticklish job that must be done perfectly. By staining with different colors, different parts of the tissue are made easier to see.
