Czechoslovakia-Public Health. Kromeriz. A World Health photographer took these pictures of life and helath in Kromeriz, a thriving town on the Morava in the heart of Czechoslovakia. In the area, sugar beet and barley are grown, and the town is large market for cattle, cereals and fruit. Industries include brewing, flour milling and the production of agricultural machinery. Poulation of the town and its district: over 100,000 inhabitants. Out photos show some of the state-run health facilites of Kromeriz: the surgical department has seven doctors and 120 beds.
