Abstract:
(Critical) This program is a basic overview of hyperlipidemia. Three common types of hyperlipidemia and sex types of coronary heart disease are graphically illustrated. The Framingham study and major risks associated with coronary heart disease, artherosclerosis, serum lipids and lipoproteins are covered. Modifying factors, high density lipoprotein protection, and treatment are omitted from the discussion, and some material is outdated. The results of various tests would have been a useful inclusion. This is a well-organized introduction to this topic, and is recommended for use.
