Abstract:
This 1976 program, produced by WRAMC-TV, is presented by Dr. Isadore Meschan. Pulmonary surfactant function is critical for the aeration of human lungs. This presentation introduces several different treatment methods for those with chronic lung disorders. While the prognosis for these patients is typically very poor, Dr. Meschan states that medical solutions are rapidly being developed. X-ray images as well as slides with bulleted information points are used throughout the video.
