(Critical) This program is a general overview of identification, at the light microscopic level, of the region and organs of the gastrointestinal tract. The material focuses soley on the organ structure, making no mention of the correlation between structure and function. In the attempt to condense a large amount of material in too short a time, any details and characteristic features which would contribute significantly to the tape are omitted. The statement that the viewer will "not be required to distinguish between jejunum and ileum" is not necessarily pertinent to all institutions. The presentation is recommended for use as an aide to identification of areas in the G.I. tract. and This program, presented by Dr. A. L. Chapman, is a general overview of the identification, at the light microscopic level, of the region and organs of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Dr. Chapman begins with a basic illustration of the GI tract, during which he introduces the different parts and their functions. He then moves to microscopic images of patients' tissues and analyzes each in vivid detail.
