- This 1977 production for WRAMC-TV is a lecture by Dr. Gerald D. Dodd on the gastric antrum, also known as the pyloric antrum. It is a portion of the stomach which both structurally and functionally is considerably different from the more proximal aspects and is located between the incisura angularis and the pyloric valve. Using an extensive slideshow of diagrams, photographs, and radiographic imagery, Dr. Dodd details the composition and functions of the various portions of this region and its relation to surrounding structures.
