- This 1975 program is a lecture given by Dr. Jane Somerville, Institute of Cariology Consultant Physician at the National Heart Hospital of London, to the Department of Pediatrics of the Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Somerville discusses ways in which the heart's structure may change and alter a patient's way of life, including physical signs, symptoms, and natural history. These changes can occur within the first two or three decades of life and go on to affect the patient throughout adulthood. Many examples of different patients are presented through X-rays, photographs of organs, graphs, charts, and illustrations.
