This 1974 lecture by Dr. William H. Fleming is on the rapidly changing field of the surgery of coronary artery disease. Coronary angiography is described, having led to the recent rapid development of surgical techniques, and how it is used to examine, diagnose, and select patients for surgery. A lengthy slideshow accompanies the lecture and includes photos of the equipment used as well as images of patients' organs. Many case studies are presented and described in detail. Following the lecture, Dr. Fleming answers several questions from the audience.
