This presentation provides an overview of the correlation between anti-HLA antibodies and obstetrical complications as well as several studies that address potential outside factors. In one study, researchers found that 22 percent of mothers eventually developed antibodies against HLA antigens. Several abortions were also performed but seemed to have no correlation with HLA antibodies. Median age of the mother, birth weight, and overall obstetric complications were all similar among mothers. Several charts and graphs detailing these statistics are shown.
