- This image represents the 2 covers of the comic book, "The Decision" and "La Decisión," an English and Spanish language AIDS education tool. Both covers display multicolor illustrations of Marisol, a young woman with brown hair, with a thought bubble above her head, "I love you, but not enough to die for you!" The story focuses on Julio and Marisol arguing about the use of condoms-- Julio refuses to wear one. Marisol visits a sick friend, Raul, who is suffering from AIDS and is hospitalized. At the hospital a new character, Rosa is introduced, and admits to Raul that she is HIV positive. Rosa is also a former girlfriend of Julio, who she runs into at the hospital, with Marisol, but does not tell him she is HIV positive because she is ashamed. Julio tells Marisol that Rosa is just an old friend. Later, while on the phone with her friend Iris, Marisol learns that Rosa and Julio were romantically involved. She lays on the bed crying when Julio comes to the door holding a bouquet of flowers. This comic book has 16 unnumbered pages and measures 28 x 21 cm.
