This postcard is one of a set that depicts the courage of Sister Julie, a French nun and nurse, in preventing the execution of a wounded French soldier under her care by a German soldier. In this postcard, Sister Julie is leaning over a soldier lying in bed and wrapping a bandage around his head. She wears a black habit with a white collar and black veil. The soldier is looking up at her. Behind Sister Julie is a window through which can be seen the blue sky and trees outside. A gold vase on the windowsill holds pink roses. On a white cloth draped over a table behind her are various medical supplies, inculding a white bowl and medicine bottles.
