- Abstract:
- The Volunteer Recruiting Service is restored, revoking General order no. 33, invalid or disabled officers being detailed for the duty. Transportation passes will be issued to volunteers absent from their regiments so they may return, captains of companies must report quarterly to the Chief of Ordnance on their arms, and as medical officers are not to be held as prisoners of war, all those held by the United States should be discharged immediately.
