- Jane McLaughlin earned her BS in biology at Trinity College of Vermont in 1952, and began working in Albert Szent-Gyorgyi's laboratory in Woods Hole that same summer. She remained his full-time research associate until his death in 1986, working on a variety of projects and co-authoring many scientific articles with him. From 1986 to her retirement in 2002 she worked in several other laboratories at the Marine Biological Laboratory, on projects in developmental and molecular biology.. In this interview, Ms. McLaughlin offers insights into Szent-Gyorgyi's relationship with the Marine Biological Laboratory and the evolution of his interests over the years. She reviews his day-to-day work routines, and his research and teaching style, as well as some of the social events at Woods Hole.. NOTE: An index to the transcript is located on pages 47-48..
