- This is the first of a series of four charts that document experiments by Rodbell and his colleagues to see the effects of different nucleotides on the hormone glucagon, which has been pre-bound to the cell receptor of a rat liver membrane. These experiments were conducted at different temperatures, which can be seen by the horizontal line at the bottom of the page. The effect of using ATP (adenosine triphosphate) with other chemical mediums can be seen on the lower right hand side of the page.
