Using natural elements in his work, Adolphe Crespin has Victory putting her antirhumatismal elixir in an almost holy light. The inclusion of a beehive in front of the basket of flowers in the lower left corner and the flower press on the right suggest that the product contained formic acid and elements derived from poppies.
