Through a maze of equipment a scientist is seen taking notes. Verso: WHO/9848. Isreal- Weizmann Institute. A breeding ground for scientists. Chaim Weizman, who become the first president of the young state of Isreal, in 1934 founded the research institute that bears his name. Ten students from Africa and Asia are working on scholarships up to doctorate level at the Weismann Institute. The school of natural sciences offers a three-year course for doctorate students. By autumn 1962, 64 doctorates has been awarded by the Graduate school of the Weixmann Institute at Rehovoth.
