Third in series of six engravings depicting the dissolution of a marriage conceived of greed and vanity. In this scene, the husband, having contracted venereal disease, accompanied by his grieving mistress, visits a quack doctor (identified by John Misaubin) and female accomplice. Icons of death, such as skulls, skeletons, anatomical dissections, surround the figures.
