Jamaica. National Family Planning Board. sponsoring body.
Set in Jamaica, this film explores conversations among men at work or relaxing with friends about planning one's family, and the advantages of using birth control to limit the number of children they are responsible for. Some of the men are employed in the local police force, and they discuss the importance of earning enough to support their children, provide them with schooling, feed all members of the household, and give each child the attention they deserve. Two of the men speak openly about using condoms, and their belief that doing so does not make them less manly, but gives them and their families a better chance for safe and successful lives and a range of economic and educational opportunities.
